How do I sign up for HALPII?
You have two options to sign up:
- Mobile app: download it from Google Play on your Android phone
- Portal web: entra a portal.halpii.com desde cualquier navegador
The process is the same in both:
- Enter your phone number with the international prefix
- Receive a verification code by SMS or WhatsApp and enter it
- Complete the onboarding in 3 steps: Step 1 basic info (name, photo, email, city, languages), Step 2 your profession and skills, Step 3 your links (LinkedIn, GitHub, personal website - optional)
- Done, you're now on HALPII

Why isn't my SMS or WhatsApp code arriving?
If the code doesn't arrive within the first 60 seconds:
- Check that your number is written with the correct international prefix (e.g.: +51 for Peru, +57 for Colombia)
- Make sure you have a good signal and mobile data
- If you chose SMS, try WhatsApp and vice versa (if your number is registered on WhatsApp)
- Tap "Resend code" after 60 seconds
If after several attempts it still doesn't arrive, write to [email protected] with your full number and we'll help you.
Why does HALPII ask for location permission?
Your location is used for two things:
- So that nearby people can find you when they filter by "Near me"
- To show you professionals in your area when you search
We only store your approximate city, never your exact address. If you work 100% remotely and don't want to appear by proximity, you can turn on the "Remote work" toggle in your profile.
Do I have to pay to sign up for HALPII?
No. Creating your account and building your profile is completely free. With the FREE plan you can:
- Appear in professional searches
- Receive messages
- Post 2 jobs per month
- Contact 2 new people per month (free)
- Apply to jobs (with credits)
The PRO plans and credits are optional for advanced features or intensive use. See the details at halpii.com/precios.
👤 My profile
How do I upload or change my profile photo?
Open the app, go to the Profile tab (last tab in the bottom menu) and tap your current photo or the camera icon. You can:
- Choose a photo from your gallery
- Take a new photo with the camera
We recommend a clear, well-lit photo where your full face is visible. It builds more trust and, on average, generates more messages than a photo without a face or a logo.
How do I write a good short description?
The short description has a maximum of 300 characters and appears below your name in every search result. It's what people read first, so it needs to grab attention.
Recommended structure:
- Start with your profession
- Mention your years of experience
- End with what sets you apart (warranty, certification, tools, languages)
Example: "Certified plumber with 10 years fixing leaks and replacing pipes in North Lima. Clean work, written warranty on every service and quality materials."

What should I put in "About me"?
It's your long section - more detailed than the short description. Here you can share:
- Your professional background and education
- Important projects you've worked on
- Certifications, courses or awards
- Your work methodology
- Why people trust you
Tip: Use short paragraphs (2-3 lines) and emojis or bullet points so it's easy to scan. You can also see templates at halpii.com/como-empezar.
How do I add my skills on HALPII?
During onboarding (step 2) or later from Profile > Edit profile:
- Type each skill and separate it with a comma or press Enter
- Maximum 15 skills, up to 50 characters each
- You can remove a skill by tapping the "x" that appears on the chip
Tip: Put the most relevant ones first. The first 3-5 carry the most weight in searches.
How do I add my LinkedIn, GitHub, or personal website?
Go to the Profile > Edit links tab (the links button). Paste the full URL of each platform:
- LinkedIn: example
linkedin.com/in/your-name - GitHub: example
github.com/your-username - Personal website: your portfolio, blog or professional site
These links boost your credibility - especially if you work in technology, design, marketing or are a freelancer.
How do I turn on "remote work"?
Go to the Profile > Edit profile > tab and turn on the "Remote work" toggle.
When you turn it on, you'll appear in searches by people in other cities or countries looking for remote professionals. If you only work in person, leave it off and you'll only appear to people in your country or nearby.
🔍 Search and contact
How do I search for a professional on HALPII?
Go to the Search tab (it's the first tab in the bottom menu). You have 2 ways to search:
- By skill: type what you need in the search bar (e.g.: "plumber", "react developer", "english teacher")
- By popular chip: tap one of the featured chips that appear on the screen
You can refine with filters (filter icon): remote/in-person mode, language, country or proximity radius.
How does "Near me" work?
It's a filter that turns on GPS and only shows professionals within a nearby radius (50 km by default, configurable).
If it doesn't find anyone within that radius, we show an orange banner explaining there are no nearby results. You can:
- Increase the radius in the filters
- Turn off the filter and see remote professionals from anywhere
If your browser's GPS doesn't work, we use the location saved in your profile as a fallback.
What are credits and what are they for?
Credits are HALPII's internal currency. They're used to:
- Contact a new professional: 1 credit
- Apply to a Simple job: 3 credits
- Apply to a Professional job: 5 credits
- Apply to an Advanced job: 8 credits
Chatting with people you've already talked to before is always free. Purchased credits never expire.
How do I contact a professional on HALPII?
Open the professional's profile from the search and tap "Contact". If it's the first time:
- 1 credit is deducted from your account
- A chat with that person starts
- You get a notification when they reply
Subsequent conversations with that same person no longer cost credits - it's a one-time charge per contact.
How do I block or report someone on HALPII?
Open the person's profile and tap the three-dot menu in the top right. You have two options:
- Report: sends the case to our moderation team. Choose a category (spam, harassment, scam, inappropriate content, etc.) and add details. We review it within 24-48 hours.
- Block: prevents that person from contacting you and hides their messages. You can unblock later from Profile > Settings > Blocked users.
💼 Jobs and postings
How do I post a job or project on HALPII?
Go to the Jobs tab > + button > "Post a job". Fill in the fields:
- Title (10-100 characters)
- Description (minimum 30 characters; the more detailed, the better applications you'll receive)
- Required skills (chips)
- Mode: Remote, In-person or Hybrid
- Minimum and maximum budget (in your currency)
The category (Simple, Professional or Advanced) is assigned automatically based on the budget. Postings last 7 days by default.
FREE plan: 2 postings/month. PRO Monthly plan: 5/month. PRO Annual plan: unlimited.
How do I apply to a job on HALPII?
Go to the Jobs tab > tap a posting > "Apply". In the form:
- Write a message to the client explaining why you're the right person
- Propose your price (within the client's range)
- Confirm to send the application
Credits are reserved when you apply and confirmed when the client accepts you. If they reject you or you withdraw the application, the credits are refunded minus 1 as a commission.
How many credits does it cost to apply to a job?
It depends on the category:
- Simple: 3 credits
- Professional: 5 credits
- Advanced: 8 credits
If you have a PRO plan:
- PRO Annual: 1 free application per day (without spending credits)
- PRO Monthly: 2 free applications per month
What happens if my application is accepted or rejected?
If you're accepted:
- A direct chat with the client starts
- The reserved credits are confirmed (no longer refundable)
- The official "job" is created, which you can mark as completed when finished
If you're rejected or you withdraw the application:
- The reserved credits are refunded minus 1 credit as a commission
- You get a notification explaining the reason (if the client wrote one)
If the posting expires without a response, the automatic refund also applies.
⭐ PRO plan and credits
What does HALPII's PRO plan include?
The PRO plan gives you:
- Better ranking in search results
- PRO badge visible on your profile
- Advanced filters: language, custom radius
- Unlimited contacts (without spending extra credits)
- Free applications: 1/day (PRO Annual) or 2/month (PRO Monthly)
- Monthly credits included: 5 (PRO Monthly) or 15 (PRO Annual)
- Unlimited postings
Renewal is manual - you're not charged automatically. We notify you by email when it's about to expire.
How do I subscribe to PRO?
Go to the Profile tab > Subscription > choose PRO Monthly or PRO Annual > "Subscribe".
Payment is processed depending on your country:
- MercadoPago: Peru
- dLocal: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay and Uruguay
You receive an email confirmation with your receipt or invoice attached.
How do I buy credits on HALPII?
Go to the Profile tab > Credits > choose a package > "Buy". Packages come in different sizes and prices in your local currency.
Important details:
- Purchased credits never expire
- They remain even if your PRO plan ends
- The price is the same whether you're FREE or PRO
- You receive the receipt by email
What happens when my PRO plan expires?
We send you:
- 7 days before: a friendly email reminding you it's about to expire
- 1 day before: an urgent email detailing what you'll lose
- On the expiration day: an email confirming you've returned to FREE
If you don't renew: you lose the PRO badge, the advanced filters and the monthly PRO credits are revoked. Your purchased credits remain intact. You can reactivate the plan anytime from Profile > Subscription.
🛡️ Verification
What is identity verification on HALPII?
It's an optional process where you upload your ID/passport and a selfie so we can verify that you are who you say you are.
When you get verified you receive a blue "Verified" badge that appears next to your name in every search and profile. This:
- Many clients prefer to contact verified profiles
- Improves your ranking in searches (extra weight in the ranking)
- Sets you apart from fake or inactive accounts
How do I get verified on HALPII?
Go to the Profile tab > Verification > "Start verification". You'll upload:
- Front photo of your ID or passport
- Photo of the back of the document
- Selfie holding your document
Cost: approximately USD 5 (S/15 in Peru). One-time payment, no renewal.
Review time: 24-48 hours. We notify you by email when we approve or if we need you to retry.
🔒 Privacy and account
How do I protect myself from scams on HALPII?
Recommendations to avoid fraud:
- Never pay 100% upfront. Agree on a partial payment at the start and the rest when the job is finished
- Ask for references and check the professional's reviews before hiring
- Keep the conversation within the HALPII chat so you have an audited record
- Don't share passwords, bank details or OTP codes
- Be wary of anyone who rushes you, asks for payment to foreign accounts or promises impossible results
- If someone seems suspicious, report them from their profile
How do I delete my HALPII account?
Go to the Profile tab > Settings > "Delete account". You confirm the action and the account enters a grace period of 30 days before permanent deletion.
During those 30 days:
- Your profile no longer appears in searches
- You can't log in (the account is marked as deleted)
- If you change your mind, write to [email protected] and our team will restore your account with all your data
After 30 days the deletion is permanent and there's no going back.
Can I recover my deleted account?
Yes, within 30 days after deletion. To recover it:
- Write to [email protected]
- Include the phone number associated with your account
- Our team verifies your identity and restores the account with your full profile, conversations, photos and data
You receive an email confirmation when the account is ready. After 30 days, the deletion is permanent and the account cannot be recovered.
How do I change my phone number on HALPII?
For security, changing your number is done through support. Write to [email protected] from the email associated with your account, indicating:
- Your current number
- The new number (with international prefix)
- Reason for the change
We verify your identity (we may ask for an additional detail) and proceed with the change. Your data, conversations and credits are kept.
